Lisa Thoreson, MnCP

Lisa Thoreson has more than 25 years of paralegal experience working on family law and litigation cases. She began working as a paralegal in 1996. She joined Minnesota-based law firm Henson & Efron in 1998, where she was part of a top-rated family law group for 20 years. She was involved in various complex family law litigation cases, gathering and exchanging documents and information, drafting documents, preparing for hearings and settlement conferences, and assisting at trials. She has extensive knowledge of businesses, real estate, stock options, retirement accounts, non-marital tracings, spousal maintenance, child support, living expenses, litigation, and more. 

Lisa works primarily with attorneys on cases involving marital dissolutions, the division of marital estates, spousal maintenance, child support, child custody, and parenting time, but has the ability to work on any type of litigation case. Lisa is proficient in writing and investigating, skills she refined in college while obtaining her bachelor’s degree in journalism.

Lisa also works with clients and attorneys to determine clients’ marital standard of living and necessary living expenses. She identifies and assists in gathering necessary documents, analyzes historical spending, consults with clients, prepares reports, and testifies at trial.
